Harvest Festival – 3rd October 2021

There was a full church of adults and children to celebrate Harvest. It was a lively inclusive service on the theme of 'Pulling together', illustrated by the children, acting out the story of 'The Enormous Turnip', trying to pull up a large 'turnip' together. It was a final small mouse which made all the difference. In a similar way we were all encouraged to work together for the planet with the COP26 talks in mind and to sign the letter to the Prime Minister referring to the vital United Nations Summit COP26 being held in Glasgow in November. Many tins, packets and fresh produce were brought to the service, some of which were auctioned, raising over £150 for Christian Aid. A large load was also taken to the Edenbridge Foodbank.
